Little did I expect to find my dream gown by seeing an ad on facebook! The beautiful details, exquisite quality, and low cost really won me over. Thinking it was too good to be true, I scheduled an appointment with the Los Angeles storefront (coming from the Bay Area, it would've been a trek had I not been in the area at that same time) to see it in person and well, try it on because why not? My lovely cousin, Meghan, was able to join me, my Father, and my son on this pleasant day.
Granted, I was by no means made up like those gals you see on the bridal dress shows, but when I saw myself in the mirror, albeit "all natural", I loved the look and I knew my hair, make-up, and yes, a tan would just put it over the top- in a good way! While at the storefront, I of course asked many questions, and I quickly learned that had I wanted my dress to be specific to my measurements, it would've been much more, and so I wieghed the pros and cons and settled with ordering a standard size 8. The following ten months were spent stressing to remain the same size 8- no more and no less.
I have only one negative point to the experience of purchasing this gown, to receiving it, to wearing it for ten hours, etc., and it was that it had arrived on time as promised however, it arrived rolled up in a plastic shipping bag. Luckily, there was no damage to the gown, but that shouldn't excuse the fact that it was shipped poorly.
In the final three months leading up to the wedding, I had some minor alterations completed on the straps, upper thigh area, and the sweet lady (who is local to where I reside) also added loops so that we could pin my train up for the reception. Note: There were no loops to begin with. In the photos, you may see a veil that I used. In the end, everyone, especially my husband, LOVED my wedding gown. It held up just perfect, and we are having it professionally cleaned and stored as we speak. I'm never getting rid of it!
